Ba Boom!
I haven’t posted anything terribly exciting lately, so I took matters into my own hands.

I was reading lst week on how to clean BBQ grills. We had a party this weekend for Andrea’s bday (which went super well!! YAY!).. so the grill was all grimy. I decided to use one of the methods I read about. It is to put aluminum foil, shiny side down, on the grill, and cook on high for 10-15 minutes. Supposedly that bakes everything off. So I got the foil in place, close the lid, and lit the burners (or so I thought)….
I went about my business, cleaning up other party stuff, taking lights down, etc…. I came back to the grill to check. Lifted the foil and peaked underneath. It looked no different. I felt the grill with my hand and it was slightly warm. I thought that maybe the propane had run out. My next move was an absolutely brilliant one… I hit the ignitor button and KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOOM! A fireball probably as big as me got launched straight at my face and arms. Apparently I yelled because Andrea came running out, and after I told her what happened, she remembered hearing the boom too.
So my hair got fried, my arms got COMPLETELY fried, eyelashes, eyebrows, etc. All crispy critters. I totally lucked out. Could have been a lot worse. I have a little burn on my arm, but it really kinda feels just like a light sunburn. What a smell! Burned hair. Pretty gross.
A shower, and now I am as good as new, ready for the next adventure.
