On track

So I did my run on Saturday. It was freakin’ 42 degrees outside. Damn cold. That’ll show ya the dedication I have to this :) It actually wasn’t so bad once I got going. I need to wear gloves next time. I used my new heart rate monitor this time, but I still need to configure it and such. With it unconfigured, it said I ran 2.14 miles. I know that I ran further this time than the last though, so I think I need to configure it for my stride to make sure it is accurate. I’ll do that sometime in the next couple of days.

We’re supposed to have really nasty weather the next few days. I’m not going to be able to run if it is icy out, so we’ll see what happens. I have learned not to mess with ice. I slipped a little over a year ago, fell off some concrete steps, fell backwards and landed head first on the back of my head. My head was the first thing to hit and it took all my body weight on it. Nearly knocked me unconscious. I ended up having to do chiropractics for months because of it.

Anyway, this run seemed to be about the same as last. It’s tough because I am pushing it on the running parts. Granted, it’s only for 60 seconds at a time, but I’m still pushing it. My watch said my peak pace was 7:14 or something like that. Once I figure out how to upload the data to the computer, maybe I’ll incorporate that into my blogs.

Saw the movie “Children Of Men” tonight. Not bad. Not great, but definitely not bad.

Saw “The Last Kiss” last night. Good acting, but was a pretty depressing movie. Great soundtrack.
