Another day another mile…

… not really. I pushed yesterday’s run off until tonight. Last night we had our not-quite annual company dinner. Ate at Buca Di Beppo. Definitely a good time.

Anyway, so I did the Day two of the post below. Same run as the first day. It felt pretty good. About 2/3rd of the way through, when I did the 60 seconds of jogging, it felt much more like I hit my pace and got into a rhythm. Starting to feel more natural than forced. I also ran around the block (which I know to be exactly one mile) instead of a random course. I wanted to have an idea of just how far I run/walk in 25 minutes with this program. So I’m right at about 2.25 miles. That’s not all running though. So my running pace doesn’t suck that bad! ;-) The cool thing is… before I started this plan, I was absolutely DYING after 1 mile. Granted, I was running the whole thing at a pretty good clip, but it makes me feel better that I am doubling that distance, even if I am walking, and feeling much better during/afterwards. I was afraid that this plan would be too simple, taking too much of a step backwards… but I think it really is a good thing. My muscles need to build back up, but more than that, I need to get into good cardiovascular shape.

Still no heart monitor. Hopefully tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

I’ll probably run again on Saturday, that way I can start next week off on Monday. We have some crappy weather coming up, I hope it cooperates.

I’ll try to make a non-Workout post soon too. I have a TONNNNNN of pictures that I want to post. If anyone knows of a blogging program where I can separate the posts out into tagged categories, but make it so that you can click to see each category, I would be interested. I know a lot of people could care less about the workout info. So it’d be nice to separate that out without having to do a completely second blog for it.

Oh yeah! Have you seen the new Apple iPhone? That thing is SICK!
